The Call of Duty series returns to World War II, with Call of Duty 5: World at War for PC, PlayStation 3, XBOX 360, Nintendo Wii, PS2 and Nintendo DS. This historical first-person shooter has you fighting to survive many of the brutal climatic battles of the Second World War: taking you from the devastated cities of Europe, to the jungles of the Pacific, to the depths of Imperial Japan. You play as a U.S. Marine or Russian conscript through a variety of infantry, vehicle and airborne missions. Call of Duty: World at War uses an enhanced version of the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare graphics engine, producing effects such as wood that splinters realistically and fires that spread organically.
