Having eventually defeated the Chimera's invasion of London, Nathan Hale goes back to the United States: where the battle is just about to begin... The inevitable sequel to the PlayStation 3 bestseller Resistance: Fall of Man was announced at Sony's PlayStation Day in London this week. Insomniac Games' Resistance 2 follows Sgt. Nathan Hale as he leads the fight against the alien army and struggles with the virus that threatens to transform him into the creature he fights. Resistance 2 also promises to deliver "unprecedented online gaming", with co-operative campaigns for up to 8 players & massive online battles with up to 60 players taking part. EA Digital Illusions' Mirror's Edge

First previewed at the Game Developers Conference in San Francisco earlier this year, Mirror's Edge is an innovative game in development by Electronic Art's Digital Illusions CE (DICE) for PC, XBOX 360 & PlayStation 3. Set in a totalitarian near-future, you are Faith, a messenger who runs & climbs parkour-style across a polished cityscape, sliding under or jumping over any obstacle in her path, trying to avoid government surveillance and hostile police. Gameplay in Mirror's Edge is presented entirely in first-person perspective without any on-screen displays to distract you. While "first-person" is a perfect term to use describing this game, adding "shooter" is optional: it is possible to disarm the police and take their guns, but you are rewarded if you traverse the game without shooting anyone. Today, at the Sony PlayStation Day in London, EA DICE released the first trailer for the game...
