Mario & Sonic: Olympic Games

Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games for Nintendo Wii

Once deadly rivals in the Console Wars, Sega's Sonic and Nintendo's Mario compete in the first officially licensed game for the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games. Mario & Sonic At The Olympic Games for the Nintendo Wii console allows you to "Go for Gold" in stylised Olympic venues, with authentic events including: 100m sprint, hurdles, swimming, pole vault, javelin, gymnastics, archery, table tennis, etc... More than twenty-five characters from both Mario's and Sonic's universes are playable in the game, with full tournament & missions modes as well as online leaderboards. While the game was developed by Sega, it has been overseen by the legendary Nintendo creator Shigeru Miyamoto...

A more realistic Olympic Games simulation will also be released by Sega in 2008. And, Sonic & Mario are set to go head-to-head again on the Nintendo Wii soon in Super Smash Bros. Brawl
