Wii Fit & Nintendo Wii Balance Board

Wii Fit & Wii Balance Board for Nintendo Wii

Announced at Nintendo's
E3 2007 press conference by game designer Shigeru Miyamoto, Wii Fit is an exercise game developed by Nintendo for the Wii console and includes the Balance Board peripheral. Released in Europe today, Wii Fit has already nearly sold 2 million units in Japan. The Wii Balance Board is wireless and contains pressure sensors which can measure a user's weight and center of gravity. The Wii Fit game has over 40 different activities divided into four basic categories: yoga, strength training, aerobics and balance games. An excellent introduction for yoga novices, along with more traditional exercises such as push-ups and step aerobics, Wii Fit offers a workout regime, but don't forget: this is also a game, and the most fun is to be had with the balance games, which include ski and snowboard slaloms, heading footballs, etc.
